What you need:

- Rye bread flour – 4 cups

- Water – 1 1/2 cups

- Olive oil – eighty (80) ml (you can substitute it with regular oil or butter if you prefer)

- Salt – two-two and a half tablespoons

- MSG – 1 tablespoon

- Sugar – 1/2 cup

- Caraway seeds for mixing and garnishing – 1/2 cup

- Herbs (oregano, thyme, dill, basil, rosemary) – one teaspoon

- Grated fresh garlic – one (1) teaspoon

- Dried black bean flakes – quarter (1/4) cup

- White or black pepper – 1 teaspoon

- Active dry yeast – three (3) tablespoons

Using the bread baking machine:

- Carefully read the guidelines for setting up the bread machine before beginning.

- Clean the bread bucket and confirm there’s nothing sticking to the kneading plate.

- Also check the bread bucket volume using water.

- Check the settings buttons on the bread machine (type of loaf, crust, delay, timer).

- You don’t have to grease the bread bucket as the fat from the bread will stop the bread from sticking to it.

- Before adding the ingredients, ensure that each one of them are at room temperature or slightly warm. Ingredients at room temperature make a good settting for the yeast to grow.

- To start, add the water and oil into the bread bucket.

- Add the yeast in last of all and close the lid of the bread bucket.

- Choose your preferred settings on the machine (loaf, crust and time).

- The bread maker will press the dough, let it rest and press it again, then bake it.

- Add the rest of the caraway seeds after the dough has been kneaded the second time.
