This recipe is for Chicken and Rice. It is a simple and mouth-watering dish to prepare, and a low cost way to feed the family. You will need one whole chicken that has been cut up, one bag of long grain white rice, a stick of butter and salt and pepper to sample.
Totally wash chicken parts and put them in a middle sized pot of water. Now you want to boil the chicken till it is well done, making sure that is tender and falling off the bone. Turn off the stove eye, and remove the boiled chicken, putting it on a platter to put aside and cool. Cover the pan of broth with a lid, and reserve for usage later.
Once the chicken has cooled enough to touch, remove it from the bone, and pinch the meat into little, bite sized pieces. Return the pinched up chicken to the broth and bring to a boil. Now add the bag of rice, stick of butter, and salt and pepper to taste. Once again bring the blend to the boil, then lower heat and cover. Allow to cook for 20 minutes or until rice is tender and most of the liquid has absorbed. You can add cooked broccoli for a total meal in one pot. Serve this dish hot.
